😢 RIP Caleb 💔 Run Free 🌈

We are heartbroken to share that our brave Caleb has passed away.
Caleb was seen Sunday morning at the University of Florida Emergency Department. We had hoped there was a treatable component to his recent symptoms and that an antibiotic regimen would help him. After assessing Caleb and performing some diagnostic tests, it was clear that Caleb had developed nodules in his lungs.
At first, we were comfortable with Caleb returning home and hoped he could rest and feel better there. Sadly, as the evening progressed, Caleb's condition worsened. His deterioration was rapid and dramatic. In the early morning hours, Caleb crossed over the Rainbow Bridge with his veterinarian and his dear foster mama right by his side.
He was surrounded by love.
Thank you for all of the ways you've supported this very brave boy from across the miles throughout his journey. We know your hearts are heavy with ours today. Our thoughts are with Caleb’s beautiful foster mama who was with him every step of the way.
Run free, sweet Caleb. Your 🐾 paw prints 🐾 are on our hearts forever.
